Animated tiles

I saw some tutorials about Pixel Edit and I liked the animation and tiles features. But does it have animated tiles feature? I mean, allow us to create animated tiles and export it to be used externally. I imagine it is possible to do with the current tools, but I think it is also possible to make things easier, like animate a group os tiles together.

One other thing, there is any game engine that supports animated tiles? Does Game Maker support it? I know Tiled added recently an animated tiles feature, but it is only a map editor.

Thanks!

Hi julianosott

As far as I know, it is not possible to make animated tiles in PE. based on how animation works currently, It requires you to place each new animation in a position below or beside your previous frame. To make something like animated tiles would require a new window with separate a separate tiles window for one specific tile animation.

Officially it doesn't seem that GM:S supports animated tiles, however you could implement that yourself, same goes for Unity.

I don't see option to use animated tiles in GMS. Only way for that is using obj with animated sprites.
