To my knowledge there isn't any way to get around this, you'll just have to move your sprite around till they're all in the same spot. Enabling onion skin helps though, as it shows the location of the next and the former frame, and by that you can adjust your sprite faster.

As you both work on the same sprites, you'll likely have to make final adjustments no matter what, though setting up some placement rules could probably minimize the jumping as for where you put your first pixel on the canvas or something like that.
