My process tends to involve a lot of erasing. And I would love it if I could simply right-click on the transparent background and then "paint opacity" rather than having to switch to the eraser to do it. I would speed up my process quite a lot.
Also, I would like to have some location on the interface show the mouse XY position within the current animation frame. (so I can better make sure the different points on a character are lining up without having to draw lines across the whole set of frames.

You are not the first person to suggest automatically switching to the eraser when picking transparency. I think it's a nice idea so I will add it in the next release.
Yeah, a status bar with mouse positions etc. is a good idea, I will add that too!
