ok so here is my idea:

You have created a canvas that is 32x32 pixels big, you start drawing and notice that the canvas is to small!
So instead of going to Document > Resize canvas and guess how big you need it to be, you pull a switch somewhere (maybe in the top right) and the canvas gets automaticly bigger when you place pixels outside the canvas!

This would mean that you don't need to guess how big you need the canvas to be, you just keep on drawing bigger and bigger if you need so!

I hope this isn' to hard to understand, my english isn't the best so please excuse any wrong speld word or post.

The idea sounds interesting on paper, but i'm not sure what kind of benefit it would have other than it being more intuitive. Is there a particular reason why you would want such feature? Usually when I start my work, i know how big my canvas needs to be, and if not, then resizing are always only two clicks away, which shouldn't be too time consuming. I don't really see the need for such feature, though i'm interesting in hearing what other has to say :)

Sometimes i just want to draw, and not for any game, graphic or any sort of project. Like a wallpaper or a
consept art.
