Transforming selection resets selected colors to black & white

Every time I press Command+T to transform the selection (on a Mac), the selected colors reset to black & white, unwanted. Is the keyboard shortcut somehow doing both?

Oops, I thought that just selecting transform did it, but no! Went back to reproduce it and it's actually when, after selecting transform, I use the arrow keys to shift the selection around that resets the colors.

Yes, I can reproduce the problem now, thanks. It only seems to happen on Mac.
