Navigation using middle click is very slow in big files

If you have a fairly big image with many layers, moving around using the middle mouse button is incredibly slow, often taking several seconds to unfreeze. I have grown into the habit of zooming out and back in again on the place I wish to go to instead, but this is not ideal.

This is probably due to the feature that makes all other layers transparent when you pan. I hope I can optimize it, but until then you can disable it in the options (cog wheel in upper right).

That is indeed the issue. Just disabled it an now panning is nice and quick again. Great as a workaround, thanks!
