You can merge duplicate tiles in a tileset to get unique tiles, is that what you mean? It can be found in the menu Tiles > Merge duplicate tiles.

I was wondering where I could find this and have searched all over. I heard this was a feature in Pyxel on a GB Studio Discord. Thanks for any help!

Awesome! I found that upon import too. Do I then just have to manually count in the tiles window? Using the cog wheel and setting the width to 10 makes it fairly easy to count but a bit taxing men tally. I am working within constraints of the gameboy limitations so this count is important :-) Thanks!

Glad to hear it was what you were looking for! There's no straight way to check the tile count I'm afraid, but if you place the last tile in the canvas you can press tab to see its index (which would be the count - 1 since it's zero based).
