Feature Request: Easier Updates

Ideally save our "personal download link" (maybe the same way/location the license is stored) and offer a button on the about screen that replaces "Check for updates" if check update returns that a new version is available.

Yeah, I know it's a bit cumbersome at the moment. I thought about putting a link to the download page in the dialog but that is a bit too insecure I think. It's easy for someone to get a hold of your link that way. I'd like to implement an auto updater if possible in the future.
