The file works fine here (Mac OS).
Given that the canvas consists of 150 wide x 100 high, 16x16 tiles, suspect that the reason you get an error is because you run into the 32 bit limitation.
Here's a resized version of your project, see if you can open that.
If you still can't open the file, you can extract the content by changing the extension from .pyxel to .zip
Btw. it would be nice to see the error message just in case, so if you could also paste that information here, that would be great.
