Selection Tool

Sometimes when I make stuff using multiple layers, I want to use the selection tool to move something, but it only goes through one layer. It would be really helpful for there to be something you can check off to make it go through all layers that are visible so you don't have to move everything one at a time. An alternate way of doing it is having layers being groupable so you can simply select a layer to be able to use the transformation tool through all of it.
