Editing multiple layers

Hello.
Are you planning on making selecting/cutting/pasting multiple layers possible anywhere in the near future? I really need that function to readjust the position of my sprites. Also, do you have any advice on how I could go about doing it now, without having to cut/paste each layer individually?
