On drawing programs like Clip Studio Paint, you can hold down the corresponding button key for the tool (for example, S for selection in Pyxel Edit) and it will temporarily switch to that tool, but if you let go of the key, it will switch back to the previous tool. Then to permanently switch to the tool, you have to tap the shortcut key instead of holding it down.
I think adding this will greatly help with productivity as it makes quick fixes and tool changing easy and it also adheres to some muscle memory.
