Hi-res tileset support, wacom support?

Hi, first of all, congratulations to you guys, this software is so awesome. I would like to know if there is support for hi resolution tilesets, I did a 348x348 tilset in photoshop, I import it to pyxel, dived every tile to 128x128 and it work, but when I re-size the canvas to any direction, for example, I expand it 512 pixels wide and also tried 1024 to all directions, it did not work, when I zoom in all those tiles disappear, when I zoom out they re appear but I can't create any other tile outside the 348x348 original size, I mean, sometimes it add the tiles but most of the time it seems is to be a bug. One more question, this software have pressure sensitive support? I use wacom intuos 4 and 5 but I find any settings for this.

Here I'm adding the tilset set and also a preview of how it looks after I re-size the canvas.

Hi,
Those are some awesome looking tiles!

The application is not really meant for hi res graphics, and the old beta you are using is not very optimized.
Note that when you change the canvas size it's in tiles, not pixels, and it looks like the canvas in the screenshot is 262528x262528 pixels big. :P

Air has some restrictions on how big bitmaps can be. In the old beta I think the limit was 8000 pixels or so, but it was recently raised in newer versions of Air so the next release will support bigger canvases than that but there is still a limit set by the OS.

The new version is also optimized and the canvas rendering is completely redone, which would solve the problem you are seeing. I tried importing your tiles into the latest version and it seems to be working fine. Too large canvases will still make it crash but the rendering works and it's responsive. (see attached image)

I would say you can edit high res tiles in Pyxel Edit, but not make levels (like with more than 40 tiles width) with high res tiles because the required bitmap sizes would be too big.

Regarding support for pressure sensitivity, it might be possible but it's not high priority at the moment as the main focus is low resolution pixel art.

Ohh ok, good to know, I won't be doing levels, so that is good for me at the moment, then I will wait for the next release to test. I think I can still using Pyxeledit to my workflow, since I will be doing only tilesets that might got maximum 20 tiles, and for the moment pen pressure is not bothering me since this software have opacity slider. Thanks a lot, and keep it up the good work.

I should let you know that the opacity support when drawing is not very good yet. I have been focusing on pixel art so you might find it frustrating to draw in a more painterly style like your tiles. For example the brush is hard edged, there is no anti-aliasing, and the opacity adds up in a crude way.
Just letting you know, if it works for you that's great. :)

That said, I'd be very happy to hear what you think about it for making hi-res graphics, and how I could improve it.

I just tried the free version and it is a wonderful piece of software. I too wish it had antialiasing and some wacom features like preasure for the width. I was thinking of using it to create the tilesets for our game Greedy Guns . I've been using photoshop and it is horrible for tiles.
