flip selection not working

all the time i make selection and try to flip it it dow not work, i have to flip manualy

    Could you elaborate?

    You first have to make a selection, then goto Selection->"Flip horizontally" or "Flip vertically". Make sure you're on a layer with content, otherwise it won't work.

    it was returned to work, i guess i selecting something empty, sorry for the worry
