Saving an Greyscale 8-bit PNG

Thanks for this awesome pixel editing program. Really happy with the simple and elegant design. I have a question regarding saving of .png files. I imported an 8-bit Greyscale tilemap (for a Gameboy game). When I saved the .png again, I noticed it changed to full color 32-bit mode. Making it impossible to import back again into my Gameboy game. The tooling I use expects the exact same color format (8-bit Greyscale). I can work around this by converting my .png back to 8-bit Greyscale using Paint Shop Pro, but it would be really nice if Pyxel Edit would just save the .png in the original format. Is it possible to change this somewhere, or is this a planned feature?
